Things ....From the Week-end....Learned & Otherwise

"Natinals"...........

Things have gotten......oh so bad for the Washington Nationals.......(1-10) .......in their first 11 starts of the Major League Baseball season.....

Not only is this team........which moved from Montreal (as the Expos)a few years back .....the laughing stock of the league.....seems now........their seamstress..........can't spell.

In a home game this week-end.......several National players took to the field..........wearing jerseys which incorrectly spelled Nationals..........."Natinals"

Somebody......needs to get fired over this.

This is not a little league team......with "bail bondsmen" sponsors.....Who let them out on the field?

Where is "quality control"?

Washington should be ashamed.......and I bet Montreal....is smiling today.

A beat-down.......at Atlanta.....D-Wade shut down.........Josh Smith..........went off.

Only one game.......this is a best of seven........but it sure felt good.




A fitting end.......to a "Gym Dawg Dynasty..........

Suzanne Yoculan (coach of the UGA gymnastics team) goes out in retirement .....a winner....yet again.....1o.....Ten....Championships........Five straight...........

NCAA gymnastics championship: Georgia sends Yoculan out with 10th ...

10 NCAA championships.........

Good job........to a good dawg.......

I think....I planted the perfect garden....this week-end.

I think....our weekly family conference call.....is still the best life has to offer.

I think.......the north Georgia mountains.....have the most beautiful sights in America.

I think..........I'm tired.....

How Not to Eat Grits

Sometimes.....stories just get dumped on our laps.......

Such is the case of University of Georgia gymnastics coach, Suzanne Yoculan . Seems Yoculan made micro-wave grits ( a sin in itself to southerners).

And when she ate them.......or tried to .......the grits burned her esophagus to the point of her being hospitalized for 3 days.

She must have been mighty hungry. Has she never heard .....you "blow" on your grits.....before putting that fork full into your mouth?

Or........you put a lot of cold butter on your hot grits........to neutralize the situation. Obviously, Ms. Yoculan is no true southerner.......and a miss-informed outsider.....who has not mastered the art of eating that "Georgia Ice Cream".....we all know .....as grits.

Yoculan released from hospital

Georgia gymnastics coach Suzanne Yoculan was released from the hospital Thursday after being treated for burns to her esophagus.

Yoculan was admitted to Athens Regional Hospital for three days after ingesting a spoonful of grits just out of the microwave. The grits burned eight inches of her esophagus.

"I couldn't breathe or swallow or drink," Yoculan said. "It was really painful. I was on morphine for three days."
