It is a Monday......Spring is supposed to be here....but.....The winds of March say otherwise.  It's still rather cold......and if still feels like winter.

Things we learned?   Let's see:

While at Gisele's sister's wedding in Brazil this weekend, Tom Brady proved he's a team player and helped carry their son Benjamin's diaper bag.

Finally......a .....final four:

This Brittany Griner....can play!  She is 6'8"......and can dunk with either hand....she has her Baylor team in the "Elite 8"....Last we saw her......she was cold cocking an opponent with an awesome right hook.

Things....I .....think ....I think I learned:

I still have not gotten  used to Daylight Savings Time.

My riding lawn mower.....(for the 2nd straight year)  has a flat tire.  Did I not learn anything....from last year?

March......is certainly going out....like a lion.

I feel......smarter.....do you?

Daylight Savings Time.......Once Again

I was not asked.......I was not contacted...Nobody considered my thoughts....

So here they are.

I hate Daylight Savings Time.

So many clocks to change.  4 vehicles........3 wrist watches.....4 wall clocks.....1 microwave....3 televisions.......2 computers......3 alarm clocks.....1 oven.......3 dvd players.......2 cell phones.....and 1 GPS.

Thank goodness the computers,  the cell phones,  and the GPS have the good common sense to set themselves.

So much work involved in cheating "Mother Nature".   I believe.....if my math is correct...there will still be 24 hours in a day.

But I know .......tonight.....I will lose a precious hour.

An hour.....not to have back.......until 6 months.

Daylight Savings Time.....

It sucks.....and I'm pissed.

Things......We learned from the Week-end

If......it's Monday.....


Then we should be a tad bit smarter........For ....we learned a few things.....from the week-end.


Two college football programs.......very over-rated: Georgia and USC......


Two college football teams......that are "pretenders": Oklahoma State and Iowa....


Brett Favre..........is still.......one heck of a quarterback.........

The NFL football NY Giants.........have some serious problems.....

The Tennessee Vols........are a pretty decent football team......

The Oakland Raiders.......are a bad football team.....

The Atlanta Hawks.......cannot win .......on the west coast.....ever.......

The NY Yankees.......will win the world series....

NASCAR.......is only as good.....as the last spectacular......wreck....

And ........the most important thing we learned? Set those clocks back......before....going to bed. If not.........Sunday mornings on a Daylight Savings Time week-end.......can be .....shall we say......a bit confusing.

Springing............Forward

Daylight Savings Time.....

To be quite blunt.......Daylight savings time sucks! Tomorrow....check that...today..... at 2 am we will set our collective clocks forward 1 hour. Why? Our time pieces in our body will have to adjust needlessly for this ridiculous attempt to cheat mother nature.

How......exactly....... are we .......saving......daylight? And.....what are we saving daylight from? Is .....daylight ..... in danger? Does......daylight.....need to be rescued? Oh, my bad. We're not saving the daylight from an unknown enemy........We are saving daylight........for future use. So....should we freeze it ........or can it? Or put the daylight in a bank ....and earn interest.

Now, personally, I happen to like daylight. And for years now, I have done what most Americans have done for the last 30 years.......In March........I save an hour..........of daylight.

Only to give it back in October! And when I give it back........I have no return on my investment. I just........don't get it. Spring forward...........fall backward......why? And for.......whom?

Daylight.........could care less.......In a 24 hour day..........daylight shines for how ever many hours.......regardless if we humans manipulate a doggone clock.

Meanwhile.........the moon is watching all of this........and thinking........."Hey....what about "moonlight" savings time....... We want equal representation". We too..... want to be saved.

Imagine that..............then again.......just set that darn clock ahead ......save that hour of daylight........and be a zombie for a few days before your body adjusts......
