The Battle of the Shoes

Marcus Jordan....would be just another incoming freshman basketball player....at a mid major college....if his last name was something other than....Jordan.

Seems the University of Central Florida recruited this young man to play basketball. UCF has a contract with Adidas ....where their athletes ....wear Adidas branded attire.

Marcus agreed to wear the clothing.....but not the shoes. Marcus prefers to wear his daddy's....you may know him.....and his shoe. The most famous basketball player on the planet (Sir Michael ).....and the most famous shoe.....(Air Jordan).

UFC initially said, "No problem".......We can work with Adidas........

Not so fast..........my friend.......

Adidas put their "foot" down.


Adidas has said......."No deal".......If Marcus wants to wear Nike shoes......it will cost you $3 million in sponsorships.

So .......here is a small school........caught in the middle. And .....caught ....not doing their research......thoroughly.......They had to know ...who MJ was. They had to know......MJ's son..would only wear Air Jordan shoes.

Why recruit........a Nike athlete.......to an Adidas school?

And where.......is MJ?........and why hasn't he been heard from in all of this?

I think this just got resolved......at least for a year....(Marcus Jordan, UCF freshman, will trade his Adidas shoes for Nikes this season)........

This.....is one of those times.....and .....it doesn't feel........half bad.....In fact.......it feels kind of good to express feelings .....not associated with "balls & strikes"....."touchdowns".....or "slam dunks"....

There is an old saying.....

" A fish can never be caught........until....he opens his mouth". Enter that governor of South Carolina.....You know him (Mark Sanford). He is the one who went AWOL ....with his wife.....and state.....and wound up in Argentina having an affair with a lady....(we use that term loosely)........Well, here is what this moron is saying now:

"I don't want to blow up my time in politics," he told the AP. "I don't want to blow up future earning power, I don't want to blow up the kids' lives. I don't want to blow up 20 years that we've invested. But if I'm completely honest, there are still feelings in the way. If we keep pushing it this way, we get those to die off, but they're still there and they're still real.

He has trouble, he said, shutting down the love he feels for Maria Belen Chapur, the Argentine woman he first met in 2001.

Sanford also said he's "crossed the lines" with a handful of other women during 20 years of marriage, but not as far as he did with Chapur and not since the two met.

"Without wandering into that field we'll just say that I let my guard down in all senses of the word without ever crossing the line that I crossed with this situation," he said, referring to his affair with Chapur.

Is this guy dumb? Or just plain stupid? Even .....if you're feeling this.......don't say it publicly....Have some sort of common sense. And dignity....You're a governor....for crying out loud......You....(expletive deleted).......up! You ....are the biggest...(expletive deleted)....on the planet!!!!!!!

And I thought we Georgians ........had a "Gomer Pyle".......as a governor. And this guy.......had aspirations........to some day....be president? Of .....the U S of A??????

Perhaps the greatest golfer ever to play on these green grasses on earth.......an athlete motivated from within........with the fire and passion of a Michael Jordan.....

Tiger Woods.......

Who took half of last season's PGA tour off.......for major knee surgery and .....the birth of his second child.....and was still the highest money maker and highest ranked golfer on the tour.

Well........Tiger.....is back!

The Woods family is now complete.......A girl........a boy......a mother .....a father.........

He can now concentrate on what he does best. Play golf....

I must say, I have not watched a golf event since Tiger won the PGA championship last summer.

But ........I was not alone........Millions followed my lead. No Tiger.....no interest.

But ...he is back!

And that's a good thing......

Of course.....not your average single man.....Recently divorced Michael Jordan is on the dating scene....big time. And by the way, it's with a white woman. Surprise, surprise..........

  Look who was spotted having an intimate dinner with his new mystery woman at the exclusive Miami restaurant Prime One Twelve last night?:

  The woman is relatively unknown, but apparently they have been very chummy in South Beach lately. And I doubt he would take a simple jump off to such a paparazzi haven “exclusive” restaurant such as this one. So this one might actually be his new main chick. I mean, I know Mike loves some Beckys but clearly he loves all of Beckys friends too. Y’all get what I’m sayin’…

  UPDATE: YBF snitches are on the case and Mike’s girlfriend is Yvette Prieto, a Cuban model and former girlfriend of Julio Inglesias, Jr. She and Michael have actually been together for a little while now. Not my fault chicks look like totally different people with and without makeup. I guess I should strike my previous Becky comment. Or not.
